Feeling Better

Just thought I'd let anyone interested know that I'm doing a lot better. I don't care what people say about chiropractors, going to one has helped me. I'm still not 100% but I'm better than I've felt in a week. In addition to what was already wrong with my back, I managed to strain a muscle in my shoulder/neck. Did you know that you use that muscle when you burp? It's true. It hurts my shoulder to burp. How weird is that?

So since I haven't been able to do much, I've been watching a LOT of movies and dvds of tv shows. Have you ever heard of Flight of the Conchords? No? I hadn't either until Mr. McHacker got the first season and started playing them. It's an HBO parody show about these two guys who are musicians from New Zealand living in New York. It's completely ridiculous, but so funny. All of the songs are in like dream sequences or something. Here's a clip: ( I wouldn't play it if there are kids around)

Why do I find this so funny? I don't know. I also don't know how they keep a straight face.

Also, I watched High Fidelity. Again. For the 5th (or more) time. I really like that movie. It made me want to do a "Top 5" favorites post. But I didn't know what to start with. Maybe I'll work on that. Any ideas? If you've seen the movie you know how this works. "All Time Top 5 Favorite _________________" Somebody help me fill in the blank.

That is all for now. Letterman is on. I can't concentrate on anything else when Letterman is on.

I'm glad you're feeling better. It sounded like you were having a pretty rotten time of it.
Thanks for your comment. I think it's great that you want to homeschool future kiddos. I actually know quite a few school teachers who quit to homeschol. My 4th grade teacher being one of them. It's not at all hypocritical. You've seen first hand that the public school system is overburdened. I could go on and on about it. I'll stop there for now.
I also just recently found a new farmer's market in my area. Until now the closest really good one was almost an hour away. Yippy, good food!

I just happened upon your blog, and I love it! I'll be back to check in. I am currently a teacher, but I would love to do something else. Can't wait to see where you end up. Any ideas?
